I’m interested to know if this trend is local or national. The trend: wearing these rubber bracelets that when pulled off of your wrist take on the shape of an animal or symbol. Our girls are going crazy over them and it’s the first trend I’ve seen in a long time that has trickled up to older girls. You can buy them at a teacher store and now they are available in some select stores. So anyone else seeing this? Girls are swapping them like crazy. Some girls have like 60 of these things. Here’s a picture of one that is the shape of a person. I’ve been seeing it since September but now it’s moving to a Beanie Baby collecting level. Let me hear from you about if this is sweeping your girls ministries as well. Also if you want to order them:
You can find them here
I was showing a friend you website when I noticed this post. It is so applicable..

It’s a local trend to Nashville and Birmingham right now, but it is spreading nationally. You can read about the Animal Bracelets, Silly Bandz craze at Animal Bracelets Blog http://www.animalbraceletsblog.com
hey, they are huge for elementary kiddoes in b’ham i know that for sure. about 2 months ago my nephew had tons of them and was trading them with his besty.
There is a new Silly Bnadz kiosk at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, Tennessee. It is located by the Build-A-Bear store. They have a large inventory of all the designs available.
Polka Dotz in Spring Hill, TN has Silly Bandz and they are all the rage!
I’m in 8th grade and our whole grade has them. Even the guys, they’re extremely cool to have apparently, some even glow in the dark. I do live in the Tennessee area but I have friends in Louisiana that have heard of them too. They’re actually really cool and a fun thing to do. Even for teens my age, and they aren’t that expensive.
